is when people say “oh there is more people who can help I will just depend on them too since there is someone else who can help”. Also We as people find a way in believing that others like everything we like, but we fail to recognize that everyone is different and that we perceive the world differently also. Although, the way we think things are or can be, can affect or influence the people who surround us. I can definitely agree, because I have experienced some form of changed behavior when I am around others whether if it’s being improved or decreased. For example, I performed better when I am in front of an audience or group when I sing.
Like I am aware that I am a good singer and I also know how to sing the song well. But it’s just something about being around others that make me perform well than what I usually do when I am on my own. So this is an example of Social Facilitation. I also can relate to being someone’s influence on Group Polarization. My friend and I went shopping and I was the cardigan shirt type of gal and I loved them I could come up with every reason of why I always like purchasing them and wearing them. She was one day debating on what shirt to get and I boosted the cardigans to her which made her like the cardigans more and made her believe she really liked them too. Then a week later I saw her wearing nothing but cardigans. I had a great influence on her which made her believe she really liked cardigans like I did. This was an example of Group Polarization. I also deal with the Social loafing behavior when I am working with team projects we tend to split it and then I am unaware of what the other subject is about and I get behind on the material because I only did a section of the project which affects me
negatively. Furthermore, people can have a great influence on us whether is positive or negative. This makes me personally more cautious on how people try to influence me or how I try to influence them. Groups can really affect the way we behave around others or how we tend to react when we are around certain groups. This shows us how influential groups can be towards us the individuals.
