“The environment supports every child’s learning through planned experiences and activities that are challenging and achievable.” (National Strategies EYFS 2014: 32) (Foundation Years, 2016) This quotation associates with The Play Strategy 2008 which was the government’s plan to improve facilities for all children, for instance when the children have P.E, facilities are located for disabled children so they are not excluded. My setting has also placed lifts for children and adults in wheelchairs, this also combines with The Equality Act 2010, which clarifies how schools/nurseries should not discriminate if a child has a disability, and instead they should remain professional and maintain positive relationships between practitioners/professionals. I would like to begin with defining the courage and explaining the meaning of crossing threshold. Courage is not by using violence it is the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear; bravery. Crossing the threshold, this is the point where the person actually crosses into the field of adventure, leaving the known limits of his or her world and venturing into an unknown and dangerous realm where the rules and limits are not known (Joseph Campbell’s Monomyth video).…

Ken who was diagnosed with AIDS and gave it to several women including Barbie who died from the disease should be convicted of a homicide. Ken knew he had the disease and initially having unprotected sex with women he wanted to spread the deadly disease so he should be punished for it. There was a case in Georgia where a man was charged with two counts of HIV-reckless conduct because he didn’t inform his partners that he had HIV. Reckless HIV is a felony under Georgia law and punishable by up to 10 years in prison (WSBTV). I think when people are diagnosed with the disease that they go into a depression and stop caring and start infecting people to make them feel better about themselves. They know they are going to die so they don’t care they give it too and I think they celebrate when they find victims to spread it to. That’s like a serial killer who stalks his victims and goes on a killing spree, and people who have AIDS or HIV and spread it to other people are going the same things as a serial killer because they are killing their victims in the long run. AIDS is a disease that can’t be cured and if a person knows he/she has it and spreads it to others they should get the same convictions as murderers.…

Children may not meet milestones due to time missed from education for hospital visits, since physical needs may outweigh educational or social development. There are many different types of interventions in place now to support education for children with disabilities such as play and education staff working within childrens wards and there are now many physical aids to support inclusion within schools such as adapted chairs and other equipment. Dependant upon the actual individual and their type of disability will depend on how it impacts upon their physical development but with current trends shifting towards care in the community, children are much more likely to get holistic help and inclusion within local schools.…

Development opportunities can be restricted if a child suffers from poor health or disability. For example, a child who has a disability may be less able to engage in some activates during school. This can affect their physical development but may also restrict their social communication, for example, on the playground. When a child is aware of their needs it can affect them emotionally. It’s important that children are supported to ensure they are included in as much as possible.…
