The static character of the book is Anna Korlov.
While she went from Jack the Ripper to Anna the Innocent, it wasn’t really her. The dark thing inside her was the reason she was killing. The entire time, the actual Anna was shy and sweet, Which made Cas want to help her more. The whole “save me from this monster,” could be taken as a step back in the world of feminism, but it could also be an analogy for depression. That monster inside of her, eating away at her insides, wondering why this is happening, making her feel insane.
