Cable industry has undergone a lot of evolution since the very first time it came into existence. First the paper will discuss cable television, telecommunication act 1934 and history of cable industry. The origin and importance of both regulation and deregulation of cable industry will be discussed. The various economic impacts; telecommunication, broadband, television and community will be discussed too in this paper.

I. Introduction
a) Cable Television
Cable television refers to a video delivery service provided through a fiber optic or coaxial cable by a cable operator to customers.
b) Communication Act 1934
The main objectives or purpose of communication Act 1934 was the establishment of Federal Communication Commission (FCC) which regulates both interstate and foreign communication by wire and radio. This was to ensure efficient available and reasonable chargers for communication services provided by vendors or owners of the communication companies.
