Cady's Cruelty: A Short Story
The playground smelt of grass, Earth go, and sweat. At recess in the fourth grade my best friend, Mandi, and I were talking and having fun then all of a sudden, Cady came into view. Mani started to tell me how ugly she looked. I knew then that something bad was about to happen. Cady's long hair was now a layered bob and I thought it was cute but Mandi didn't. Mandi extended her arm and pointer finger at Cady and just kept laughing at her. I was gong to say something to stop Mandi, but she ran over to Cady before I could. Wrapping her fingers around a lock of Cady's hair and jerking it towards the ground and then calling Cady names and smaking her with the palm of her hand I could tell hurt Cady's feelings because a river of tears ran down

I know perfectly well that I look quite plain after I lose my patience. Putting that aside, though, he is such an irresistibly charming man. We talked for long about our feelings until the never ending wait for the epic proposal finally came to an end. Expressing the joy I am feeling at the moment would sound entirely meaningless in simple words. My heart beats slightly faster than usual when I try to explain it to you, diary, but there is the chance that if I do not enter all of the wonderful secrets of my life, I shall probably forget all about them. Although I highly doubt that I could forget such inexplicable moment. Ernest Worthing proposed to me, diary, he finally asked me to marry him and to be his wife until death does us part.
