Like any other country, Canada has a unique healthcare system which includes some problems that need to be addressed. Although some problems have been addressed and solutions proposed, strengths and weaknesses still remain.
After the second world war in 1945, Canada (and the United States) begun making early attempts at health insurance and the evolution of the Canadian health care system. The Canadian healthcare system caters to every citizen of Canada and consists of socialized health Insurance plans. Considering funds are paid by the public, rules and guidelines are set by the federal government depending upon the specific province/ territory.

Once this has been achieved, I believe that it would be almost effortless to emphasize the importance of Canada's failing primary care system. As a country, we need superior political management in health care. Unfortunately, data will not be enough, but the alacrity to act on data will.
Proposed Solutions being Advanced:
Since the last decade, Canada has made some reforms with regards to primary health care. Extra support has been provided for inter-professional primary health care teams, Group practices and networks. This was implemented in order to improve the quality of training and support.
The development of primary care providers is also a new structure offered to benefit Canadian patients. Patients have been enrolled with their primary care providers (PCP) who could be doctors, physicians, assistants, or nurse practitioners. These providers treat and support those who suffer from common medical issues and are usually involved in that person's health care for long periods of time.
