Cancer and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: How are they similar yet different?

Cancer and Lupus: How are they similar yet different? Cancer and Lupus are significant diseases of today that have no cures and kill millions. Cancer and Lupus can be treated with success, giving extended life to those patients diagnosis with such lethal illnesses. Daily citizens around the world raise awareness for a cure of both Cancer and Lupus. “Cancer and Lupus are two difference diseases with many similarities. Peter Crosta Cancer is described as a class of diseases in which cells in the body grow out of control. Some of these cells are benign, meaning they do not cause any harm and others are malignant, causing pain and suffering. Lupus on the other hand, is an autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune system attacks healthy tissue. As a result, the body experiences several different symptoms that disrupt it’s natural healing processes. Cancer and Lupus remain a mystery to physicians and scientists, but symptoms of the body’s dysfunctions will assist in determining the procedures to healing the patient. Diagnosis of the two diseases very according to where the disease begins in a patient and how soon it is recognized in the patient. Cancer’s characteristics are categorized by the cell type it generates in, whereas Lupus’ characteristics are determined by the combination of symptoms. The similarities of these two diseases are the facts, that the body’s cells are attacked and changed. Cancer has different growth patterns but
