Human Services Human services is such a big field with many job opportunities. This field requires a lot of patience and hard work. Becoming a social worker for young children has always been my dream. There are many young children in the world who need help, guidance, and someone to confide in. I want to be that person they know they can go to. “In human services IT has been a significant capital investment as agencies have purchased and installed hardware; built, run and maintained systems; and staffed and trained IT professionals” (govtech.com). These hardware’s are helping human services become more manageable. It is helping human services deliver more help and it can help meet the needs of multiple costumers. This will have short term and long term effects on this career. As for a short term, it is helping those who are in the field help more people who need them. As for long term effects, when I graduate, the programs and hardware’s will be so advanced it will help me do my work and help as many people as I can. “Some human services agencies are reluctant to fully embrace mobile for connecting with customers.” (govtech.com) Mobile technology will continue to grow in this field. Many workers will be able to communicate better with people who need them because they are only a phone call away. Workers will be able to send reminders and update them with any information that is requested with just a touch of a button. This will benefit everyone. In the future I am sure that video chats will be able to be set up if a customer is unable to make it to an appointment. To reach my goals and dreams I need to make sure that I graduate with my Bachelor’s in human services. I need to take all of my required class and excel at them. Making sure that I obtain all of the information that is given to me in my class will make me more knowledgeable when I work in my field. When I am close to graduating I need to start applying for work right away. Human services is

After Graduate School, I hope to have my PhD in psychology or my doctorate in psychiatry. I would like to start out working in jails, talking to criminals and analyzing their brains versus the brain of an average adult to study how the brain reacts with criminal activity and why they do and feel what they do. I have heard that a person can not do that type of work for very long because it is emotionally tasking so after that, I would like to open my own counseling practice up. I would do either marriage and family therapy or focus on teenage depression. Eventually, I would like to retire into school psychology or become a psychology teacher. Also, if I ever have enough money, I will buy a house devoted to taking in stray animals…

Ever heard the saying that if you choose a career you have a great passion for, you will never work a day in your life? This is a philosophy I have stood by throughout my life. I have always had a passion for helping people, particularly young people and children who are socially and economically disadvantaged to overcome obstacles in their lives and achieve their full potential. My desire to make this a reality is reflected in my three years study of BSc (Hons) Applied Criminology and Sociology undergraduate degree and volunteer work in charity organisations (youth and care sectors) that share the same values and ensure that a positive impact is made in the lives of service users.…
