1. What is the Marketing Concept? Please explain whether H-P has adopted the marketing concept? What does your group think? Why?
Marketing Concept is the philosophy that companies should analyse the needs of the customers and make their decisions to fulfil their needs. With the advent of globalisation the variety of products increased in the market so companies couldn’t sell their products according to the production or sales concept. And also, with increased income of the customers they could now afford to buy those products which met their requirements to the maximum point. The main practices that the companies needed to follow can be put down in three sub points which are:
a. Satisfaction of Customers: In the modern era, the customer is the focus of the organization. The organization should aim at producing those goods and services, which will lead to satisfaction of customers.
