BRIEF SUMMARY OF CASE FACTS Who: James Keegstra was a high school teacher known for his promotion of anti-Semitic beliefs. Keegstra integrated his personal beliefs into his curriculum, teaching his students that Jewish people were responsible for various societal issues and promoting conspiracy theories about them. What: Charged with promoting hatred against an identifiable group (Jewish people) under Section 319(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada. Where: Alberta, Canada, in the town of Olds.
