The year 1762 through 1796, Catherine the great was an absolute monarch ruler over Russia. Catherine the great rose to the throne after her husband Peter the third was murdered. Despite all who thought that Catharine the great was not fit to rule because she was female, Catherine the II proved her right l the throne. Moreover, Catherine the II established many improvements throughout Russia. For example, Catherine the II modernized Russia in agriculture, and improved education not just for the wealthy but the nobles and middle class too. Hint to the nickname Catherine the Great, Catherine the II made all of these improvements to Russia without using her power of the throne over the people.
