Radiation-induced fibrosis of neck muscle may be a secondary cause of cranial neuropathy. Lin et al.,2002 reported 19 cases of radiation-induced cranial nerve palsy and found that the most frequently involved nerves were the hypoglossal nerve, the vagus nerve and the recurrent laryngeal nerve.
