Israelis, or people of Israel, have made their society more diverse. First, the different types of people have created diversity. Israel is home to peoples like Jews, Arabs, and Bedouin Arabs. Tensions have been caused in Israel due to these people dividing into classes. These people have also brought new religions and languages with them. For example, when the Jews flowed to Israel when it became a state, they brought the Jewish faith and the Hebrew language. The people of Israel have also brought new styles of music and art with them. When the jews brought the Hebrew language, they also brought Hebrew pop music and other types of art and literature. …show more content…
Israel’s culture has also been influenced by its religions.
It is the homeland to three major religions. These religions are Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. Each of these religions have introduced a new language to Israel. Hebrew was brought by the Jews because the Jewish Bible is written in Hebrew. The Koran, Islam's holy book, is written in Arabic which was brought to Israel by Islamic Arabs. Another language that was brought to Israel was English. This language was brought by Christians. These different religions also bring different people. For example, Islam attracted Arabs which is now a major people group in Israel. These people have brought different life styles with them,
too. Finally, the languages in Israel have made the culture more diverse in the past 100 years. The languages introduced in Israel have brought new styles of music such as Hebrew pop. They have also brought forth new people. Many languages means many people of different ethnicity which brings new religions. The people of Israel have evolved some of the languages in their culture making it different than any other surrounding nation. An example of an evolving language is modern Hebrew. This language was introduced by a family that swore to never speak a word in any language but Hebrew after the Holocaust. Since traditional Hebrew uses words from other languages, they were forced to created new words and modern Hebrew was born. Overall I believe Israel has become a more diverse society in the past 100 years because of it’s people, religions, and languages. They all connect to each other. The religions attract new people, the people bring new languages, and the languages bring new styles of art. Many countries around the world can learn much about assimilation of those that immigrate into their countries from the diversity of Israel.
