Did you know there are many health risks that are caused by the use of cell phones? According to scientific evidence cell phones may actually be more harmful than you think. I believe cell phones are dangerous to our health because they have been linked to causing tumors, can affect your eye health, and they also hold a lot of bacteria. Cell phones have more serious risks than they do benefits. Therefore it is better to limit how much you use your cell phone. It has been scientifically proven that you can actually get a tumor from the use of cell phones. These tumors even have the potential to be cancerous. It is proven that cell phones emit radiation into everything they touch, therefore cell phones can cause tumors and cancer. According to Lloyd Burrell”, “Using the cell phone on a regular basis almost doubles the chance of adult brain cancers on the side of the head used for talking on the phone.” As you can see cell phones are very hazardous to a person’s health. They can cause cancerous tumors in the brain if the are used on a regular basis, which most people who own a cell phone do. Therefore the use of cell phones are extremely hazardous to your health, but not only because they cause cancer, there are also other health risks associated with the use of cell phones. It may be hard to believe but cell phones actually have a bad effect on your eyes. Reading text on bright small screens for long periods of time can actually put a strain on a person’s eyes, especially if they do it to often. Alysha Reid states, “ This can lead to computer vision syndrome, an eye condition that can lead to dry eyes, difficulty focusing, and even double vision.” So the strenuous work that the eyes do while reading a text or text message on your phone can cause an eye condition. Your eyes are such an important part of your body so why ruin them, they are something that should be taken care of .
