Centella Lab Report
There are a lot of physical changes on Centella asiatica sp. that were observed throughout the three days of experiment. An obvious change was the stem of the plants, which at 1.00% of sodium chloride solution, the stem broke up in trial 1, 4 and 5. This indicate the effect of concentration of sodium chloride on the plants and the plants were under stress as the presence of excessive amount of sodium chloride.
Besides, the plants became flaccid after taking out the plants from the container, starting from 0.80% and 1.00% of sodium chloride solution. The stems became squishy and fatter as the osmosis occur between the plants cell and the sodium chloride solution. Moreover, the leaves that left on the plants became wrinkle, wilt and turn brown-yellowish
