This week I had the pleasure of learning in detail about the female reproductive system, the female menstrual cycle and male reproductive system more in depth. In this essay I will examine the external female reproductive system organs, internal female reproductive system organs and go over the male reproductive system. This essay is being written to inform and enlighten individuals who may not know certain things about the human reproductive systems. I will first go over the external female reproductive system organs. The Mons pubis is an area above the pubic bone that has many nerve endings in it. The labia majora is more like a set of lips whose main function is to protect the internal ad external genitalia. In addition the labia minora is sensitive to stimulation and contains many blood vessels as well as nerve receptors. The labia minora house the Bathorlin glands which helps provide lubrication during sex. The clitoris is extremely sensitive part of the female reproductive system. The clitoris is used for sexual stimulation. Last but not least we have the hymen which is a tissue with an abundance of blood vessels in it. But, it's true function is honestly unknown. Next I will discuss the internal organs of the female reproductive system. We have the vagina which functions a the birth canal for newborn babies, allows the flow of a female's menstrual cycle and is used for sexual intercourse to receive the sperm from a penis. The Grafenberg spot, also know as the G-spot, is believed to bring upon sexual stimulation when stimulated. It's located inside the vagina along the anterior wall of the vagina. Then, we have the uterus whose primary function is protect and nurse the embryo or fetus of a woman. The cervix located in the vagina, is the opening of the uterus.
