Chakras are Sanskrit meaning a disk or a wheel which refers to each seven major energy that centres in our consciousness body. The seven major chakras are called:
7. Sahasrara (The crown chakra): This chakra is on the top of our heads. This chakra is said to control the spinal cords, nerves and brain. The colour being violet shows Oneness with God, Peace and Wisdom. Being self knowledgeable and having spiritual awareness.
6. Ajna (The third eye chakra): This chakra is located in the middle of our foreheads. If the two eyes are meant to see the past and the future then the chakra Ajna is said to reveal the understanding of the future. Bindis is worn on the same location. The colour being indigo is to show self responsibility and highly intuitive.
5. Vishuddha (Throat chakra): This chakra is to be found in the neck area of our bodies. This chakra has 16 petals that are said to protect the ears, nose, throat, neck, tongue, neck, teeth etc. The 16 petals are meant to protect each one. The colour of it being blue relates to being self expression.
4. Anahata (The Heart Chakra): This chakra is located in and around the heart area. This chakra controls the heart and the circulation in the lungs. The colour of it being green is because it shows love and self love, also we all know that Heart represents Love. But it also has negatives features such as being jealous or unresponsiveness.
3. Manipura (The Solar Plexus): This chakra is located in the middle of our bodies which makes us peaceful and generous. Gives us strength and courage to move forward. The colour of this chakra is yellow that shows understanding, clarity and self-confidence. The colour yellow also brings some negativity such as being sarcastic or doubtful.
2. Swadhisthan (The Hara chakra): This chakra is located below the bellybutton of our bodies. This chakra is said to be controlling the sexual desires that our body needs, also the sexual organs and bladder. The colour of
