In our busy and hectic routines, we sometimes ignore the in depth analysis. We just carry on with the activity, without knowing the eventual reason for doing it. Same has been the case for tidying up. We just say that we are up to tidying up, but we do not eventually know that what are the hidden aims and motives to be achieved through this activity. Now decluttering is not just about throwing the things away in trash, it is about the whole set of activities, a step by step approach and the eventual execution of plans. Decluttering starts with having a bird’s eye view on all the items you possess. After that you have to decide the different categories. One category will be that of the items which you will keep and the other one will be that of the items which you will throw away in trash or donate. This decision is not that simple. While discarding you may come across man hurdles and problems, out of which nostalgic attachments are the most frequent ones. You may feel an attachment of the item with some past memory, as a result of which the decluttering activity cannot produce the real results. This is true in case of some photo albums or some gifts which remind you of some past relationship.
