B: The rights of the police to investigate a criminal offence must be carefully balanced against the rights of the individual. Do you think police have too much power?
My opinion is that I think police should probably have the power they have now, more balanced on their side because if they did not have the powers they have now or if they had less power than they have now, a lot of people would have committed crimes would be released and there would be nothing they could do about it because there would be no law to stop them.
Police should definitely have more power than the people who are being suspected of committing crimes as for the police are the ones enforcing the law and also they try to get down to the bottom with crimes and see who committed it.
Police should not have complete rights over the person who is suspected because if they did, then they could arrest anyone they wanted and also not even give them a fair say in what is going, what side of the story an individual can have and what side of the story the police believe if it is right or wrong.
I think the police have a good amount of power they have now because with permission by the government, they can basically do whatsoever but that is commonly good because that is how all the drug dealers or offenders are bought to an end.
Citizens should have several rights to speak too because they might want to get their own good point of view/s out to the police and if the police have too much rights, they will have too much power to do whatever they like with no law to stop them which also might make people scared or frightened to even result into calling the police for assistance to help.
That is the reason why I reflect police should consume extra power, but not too much power because if they have too much power they could do what they desire which would be the reason to cause scared and frightened
