Maglev Vehicle Comparison

1. Define/describe each of the two Mag-lev vehicle systems, identifying similarities and differences.
Answer: Electromagnetic system is a system that allows each vehicle to warp around a T-shape guide way. Electrodynamics systems are systems that utilize magnetic repulsion rather than attraction. The similarities between these two Mag-lev vehicle systems are that they both utilize magnets. However the difference between them is that one looses all their resistance and other still has it. Although the similarities between these two systems is that they have major problems that are affecting the systems, for example the EMS requires heavy backup batteries and that is a disadvantage because its heavy like 45 tons. Another example is that the EDS have a large gap between the vehicle and the guide way that causes poor quality ride. Both vehicle system can go up to 310 mph per hour which makes those two vehicles really fast and similar.

2. Make a chart stating the advantages and disadvantages of each system.

I would recommend training and regulations in using the system. I would also address the importance of accurate information reported. The system is used to compile reports that are required by the federal government under various grant programs; therefore, every single employee needs to remember that this is a non-profit organization and in order to operate successfully, we need the funding and resources available to accomplish our mission and goals. I would address and reinforce administrators that their major responsibility is to maintain and monitor the accuracy of data entries. Managers typically are interested in structuring an organizational architecture that will work well and does not depend on specific people filling particular jobs. Individuals come and go and the manager wants an organization that will work well as these changes occur (p. 34). With this being…
