Character Analysis

"Go ahead, Dr. Scott. Alternatively, should I say, Dr. ‘Von’ Scott,” was said by the notorious Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Dr. Frank-N-Furter was a self-proclaimed “Sweet Transvestite from Transsexual Transylvania” and the main antagonist of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. He is somewhat different from most villains as he dons female attire, stockings, a corset and high heels. His main goal was to create a perfect man as his own sexual plaything, which he does in the form of Rocky Horror. He was portrayed by legendary actor Tim Curry, who also portrayed many other villains such as The Lord of Darkness and Pennywise the Dancing Clown.
In his castle, he lived with his servants, brother and sister Riff Raff and Magenta, along with his groupie Columbia. During the time, Brad and Janet meet Frank; he is hosting the annual Transylvanian convention, with several Transylvanians there as party guests. It is also a means to show the Transylvanians his creation, Rocky. After making his first appearance singing “Sweet Transvestite,” he returns to his lab in wait for Brad and Janet. Once they arrive, he greets them with mild flirting before making a speech to the Transylvanians about his work. He then proceeds to create Rocky.
He sings a brief song about his success, “I Can Make You a Man,” and is then interrupted by Eddie, a former delivery boy he had locked in a deep freeze vault. Eddie sings “Hot Patootie,” during which Rocky begins to dance. Frank, being the jealous man he is, butcher Eddie with an ice pick in an envious rage and then sings “I Can Make You a Man Reprise” before going to a bridal suite with Rocky. He manages to seduce both Brad and Janet after leaving the bridal suite, and even manages to convince them to have sex with him.
Brad and Janet's ex-tutor Dr. Everett Scott turns up at the castle, and Frank is immediately suspicious of them all, thinking Dr. Scott is a member of the FBI searching for aliens. Dinner is

“Make mistakes, take chances, be silly, be imperfect, trust yourself and follow your heart.” (Mary Lopez) Something Borrowed, a novel by Emily Giffin expresses the themes of friendship, relationships and the unfairness of life. In the second quarter of the novel, Dex continues to cheat on his fiance, Darcy, with her best friend, Rachel. Dex and Rachel’s feelings grow stronger for one another but Darcy and Dex’s wedding rapidly approaches. There’s no longer much time to put off making the decisions for Dex and Rachel’s future. It’s pretty much now or never. If I were to give advice to any character, it would be Rachel. I would tell her to follow her heart, stick to her values and do what feels right, even if it seems radical or selfish.…

Draper’s out of my mind and Palacio’s Wonder both provide stories where the reader can easily become filled with sympathy and pity for their main characters who struggle with some type of disability. I found myself initially feeling sorry for, not pity, for these characters from the beginning of each novel as I was drawn into Melody’s tornado explosions from frustration (Draper 17), and August’s entrance into this life with his “small anomalies” causing the doctor to faint and the nurse to act hysterically (Palacio 6-7). While both of these characters experience daily episodes of what I would consider trauma, I do not see the as victims of trauma as neither of them allow these ordeals to define them, nor…

Like Dr. Frankenstein, only fiercer, he creates a “simulation” of the perfect male specimen: Rocky Horror, whose sole reason of creation was for release and acting out sexual desires.
