Character Analysis: Cora's Great Aunt
Cora's Great Aunt Ida arrives to the scene where Cora, Roger and Peter have now gotten Mimi away from the Long Lankin, but Cora's Aunt doesn't think this is all that has to be done, she wants the revenge that she feels is rightfully hers; the death of the Long Lankin, so she ends up killing the creature. This emoji shows the sense of relief that Cora is feeling now that the Long Lankin has finally been put to rest after many years of murdering children and now that her sister is safe.

The Long Lankin ends up sneaking into the house to grab Cora's sister Mimi while she is sleeping so Cora sets off with her new friends Roger and Peter to save her. I chose this emoji because it shows the suspense and worry that Cora is going through since

As expected sooner or later, Jacob and his friends get captured by a wight because the bird who they thought was Miss Peregrine turned out to be a wight disguised as her all along and that is why I chose to use this shocked/nervous emoji to represent Jacob.

Jacob escapes from the group of wights along with a few of his friends and after he has escaped, he finds out that his peculiar power allows him to control hallowgasts as if they are his pet dogs. I chose this emoji to represent Jacob during the climax of this novel because it shows that it was a close call of him actually getting away and it also shows that he is glad that he is now safe.

Jacob and his peculiar friends head mistress gets poisoned by wights which leads her unable to turn back into her human form so she is stuck in the form of a peregrine falcon. This emoji relates to Jacob during this plot point because it shows the sadness and shock that he is feeling since the head mistress has been

Mattie made him want to follow his dreams while Zeena no longer brought happiness and passion into their marriage. This is shown when Zeena “ [gathered] up the bits of broken glass she went out of the room as if she carried a dead body..."(Wharton 66). When Ethan and Mattie were having a romantic dinner, their cat knocked over and shattered Zeena’s pickledish that was a wedding gift from her aunt. The shattering of this dish symbolized the death and shattering of their marriage and love. The red symbolizes the passion that they both once had for eachother. That broken dish symbolized the end of their lives together. It foreshadowed that something would end between Ethan and Zeena. It could have even meant that something else would shatter just like Mattie and Ethan’s sled accident. Passion can make both fortunate and unfortunate things happen in…

    1. The parrot says “Allez vous-en! Allez vous-en! Sapristi! That’s all right!” (Chopin 5). It means “Get out! Get out! Damn it!” The words foreshadow something tragic to occur in the end of the novel. The parrot is also caged and also speaks a language in which only the mockingbird can understand. The parrot symbolizes Edna Pontillier who seems to only be understood by some but not all and seems to be beside herself because her husband doesn’t seem to notice her.…
