Nathan Scott has always dreamed of playing basketball in the NBA. Nathan faced many obstacles before achieving his goal. Nathan was the only good player on the initial basketball team, but when his step brother and his friends joined the team the tables had turned and Nathan was not the only star. Nathan was faced the common problem with competition between siblings and friends. Nathan had to compete with his teammates, so that he was noticed by the scouts. Another obstacle faced was injury, Nathan was paralyzed for six months and everyone thought his basketball career was over, but Nathan’s son knew it was not over. Nathan persevered with hard work and motivation and achieved his goal and was drafted into the NBA.
In One Tree Hill, they show how to persevere even when faced with devastating news. There was a school shooting at Tree Hill High, where there was a school shooting where two lives were lost. Lucas Scott went back into the school to find his best friend, who was shot. Lucas's uncle went into the school because he knew the shooter and wanted to help him. Keith’s life was taken and the family struggled with his death. The students and families of the lost lives persevered through the tragedy and became stronger as

For example, Nathan was in a wheelchair and he needed his family and friends to push him harder to strive to walk again. Also, when Jamie was being bullied at school, for wearing a cape his dad Nathan showed up in a cape and started to dunk on the hoop all of the children wished they had a cape. When Nathan stepped up for his son, it showed how important it is to be there for kids when they are growing up. When accomplishing one's goal family is ideal to have to support them every step of the way.
