Character Analysis: One Tree Hill

Nathan Scott never once gave up his basketball career even when he was in a wheelchair. Hailey James Scott followed her dreams even when faced even letting someone down who she truly loves. Antwon Taylor never once let his financial situation get in the way of going to college and playing basketball. One Tree Hill teaches people how to persevere in real life situations and how to follow one's dreams.
Some people consider One Tree Hill as a show that shows no morals and the situations are not realistic. Many argue that watching this show will ruin a teenagers expectations on a career because Hailey and Nathan dreams both came true and they are both successful. I can understand when, they say some of the expectations are set too high because
in life not all people succeed. One Tree Hill portrays that one can succeed even when faced with a difficult situation, which shows to never give up.
One Tree Hill shows that when someone sets their mind to something never give up until they achieve their goal.
Nathan Scott has always dreamed of playing basketball in the NBA. Nathan faced many obstacles before achieving his goal. Nathan was the only good player on the initial basketball team, but when his step brother and his friends joined the team the tables had turned and Nathan was not the only star. Nathan was faced the common problem with competition between siblings and friends. Nathan had to compete with his teammates, so that he was noticed by the scouts. Another obstacle faced was injury, Nathan was paralyzed for six months and everyone thought his basketball career was over, but Nathan’s son knew it was not over. Nathan persevered with hard work and motivation and achieved his goal and was drafted into the NBA.
In One Tree Hill, they show how to persevere even when faced with devastating news. There was a school shooting at Tree Hill High, where there was a school shooting where two lives were lost. Lucas Scott went back into the school to find his best friend, who was shot. Lucas's uncle went into the school because he knew the shooter and wanted to help him. Keith’s life was taken and the family struggled with his death. The students and families of the lost lives persevered through the tragedy and became stronger as
individuals.
One Tree Hill shows how important family is during difficult times. Many times in One Tree Hill they needed to rely on their families to guide them on the proper way of life. For example, Nathan was in a wheelchair and he needed his family and friends to push him harder to strive to walk again. Also, when Jamie was being bullied at school, for wearing a cape his dad Nathan showed up in a cape and started to dunk on the hoop all of the children wished they had a cape. When Nathan stepped up for his son, it showed how important it is to be there for kids when they are growing up. When accomplishing one's goal family is ideal to have to support them every step of the way.
One Tree Hill portrays to never give up even when faced with everyday obstacles. It shows how important it is to follow your dreams and never give up on anyone or anything. The show uses realistic events, like a school shooting to show the importance of life and how the decisions someone makes affects the way there life is. Even when times are hard One Tree Hill shows how a family or friend will be there by anyone's side when they are in need of any help. One Tree Hill helps someone see realistic events that can one day allow someone to make the right choice and to never give up on any dreams or goals.
