Tall, broad shouldered, described to have muscles on every inch of his body, not that he looks like a balloon but very muscular. He also has a heart of stone until “someone” appears in his life, this someone is, of course, Celaena, the stories special snowflake. Rowan, a warrior that had served the ruthless queen Maeva for over two centuries, skilled in both magic and all martial arts, a true warrior. When Celaena had a mission to go to Doranelle, the place where Queen Maeve lived, she had to be a fully-fledged Fae. Meaning she had to go through a rigorous training. Rowan was assigned to train her. He showed little to no emotions towards her, acted extremely cold and saw her mostly as a nuisance. "The people you love are just weapons to use against you." He had said to her, probably neglecting back on his dark past. After some events, he loosens up and becomes more emotional with her. They become great friends, I mean really great friends. Okay fine, lovers.
My opinion on the characters then, I love them. There, I said it. All feature different personalities, they all got their flaws and strengths. It is nice to see the author use unique characters in her set of characters. All lovable and impossible to hate, I’m looking at you Game of
