1. What characteristics does this individual possess that make her an influential woman?
She inspires, encourages and has a spirit of victory even in bad times. I would like to call it a “can do” attitude. Her demonstration of discipline, focus, and a strong work ethic is impeccable. What one views as failures, she uses as strength stepping stones to success. Her spiritual walk and belief in Christ is decisive and firm. Her actions are purposeful and intentional. She possess a warm heart and is full of compassion.

Prior to her appointment as District Missionary, Mother Brown held the position of District Secretary, Junior Trustee, Lula Cox Home and member of the Hospitality Unit.
At the Jurisdictional level, Mother Brown under the tutelage of the late Bishop Esau Courtney, Sr. and Mother Anne Lee Bailey she lead one of the largest state organizations – “We 12” Club under the auspices of the Women’s Department. The group encompassed approximately 135 members (men and woman) from all regions of the state. Her ability to motivate and not settle for second best did not stop there. She served as Secretary of the State Public Relations Board, Assistant Secretary of the State Women’s Convention, under the presidency of Mother Annie L. Bailey. During the supervisory tenure of Mother Lucille Spann, Mother Brown was Program Committee, Chairperson.
In 2000, under the leadership of Bishop Martin Luther Johnson, Sr., Mother Brown was appointed Jurisdictional Supervisor, Department of Women. She continues to nurture and mentor young women as others mentor
