Another episode in the story he had them tie him up to the mast of the boat with his ears unplugged, while they plugged their ears and rowed past the sirens while he had to listen to them sing. Another episode is when he made sure that all his men were safely out of the cave before him he was the last one to leave the cave. He wanted as many of his men as possible to return home with him. So, he acted with intellect and leadership to make that happen. But his men made it to where none of the returned home because they didn’t act with intellect or listen to Odysseus who was the leader,
Odysseus was very upset that he lost all his men yet he kept moving forward. He didn’t let it hold him back, because he was still a leader to everyone on the Island Ithaca. He wanted to get back to his thrown. Odysseus then had to show restraint. He showed his courage and physical strength
