Skyhorse’s choice of words and decision of ending the novel with these lines is important to the ending that includes Aurora and her realization that after all Echo Park is her home and that she belongs there. I think that this words help him show his readers the importance of being informed of what happen especially for those that are in California and live through similar situations.
