Cheating In Falwell's Pat Robertson Meaning
Pat Robertson is in my opinion a destructive force and demeans the Christian faith, as does Jerry Falwell. He preaches being a Christian yet he fails miserably at being one himself. Robertson once told a caller to his 700 Club show that she should expect her man to wander occasionally, especially if she was not providing a good home for him and his children. The caller had explained she was having a hard time forgiving her husband for cheating on her. Furthermore, Robertson then went on to suggest the woman focus on why she had married her husband and whether he provided for her needs and those of their children, adding, “Is he handsome? Start focusing on these things and essentially fall in love all over again.” Additional scandals also

He became a controversy when the public opinion swayed towards more liberal beliefs as he stood strong in his conservative convictions; many accused, and continue to accuse, Spurgeon of holding overly dogmatic convictions. Charles Spurgeon was a great leader of his faith and despite the controversy and lack of support demonstrated to him by the church he had served diligently throughout his life, he refused to be swayed and continued to preach, and teach, his beliefs as he understood them without loss of integrity. However, this is not to say that this great teacher was, as so many accuse him, “inflexible” or “overly dogmatic.” One of the greatest accomplishments of this leader was his ability; Spurgeon demonstrated his ability to adapt through his ability to model after Christ-like doings in his daily livings and through his recovery and later ministries.…

Unlike most modern religious groups, the Westboro Baptist Church is unique in the fact that the organization doesn’t meet in a modern church setting. Instead, the Westboro Baptist Church meets on Sundays to picket and protest the funerals of people whom they feel have created blasphemous acts against God. This recently included the funeral of Apple’s co-founder Steve Jobs. In an October 7th cbsnews.com article journalist Edecio Martinez quoted Margie Phelps as posting on twitter, “He had huge platform…gave God no glory and taught sin.” This in return yielded a great a greatly deal of responses by media, family, and some other government officials as well. This is the story behind the Westboro Baptist…

i always agreed with the fact that there needs to be religion in the society but religion could be ether helping or helping fall. One of the videos when the guy was getting interviewed he talked about Christians are going out and helping the needy what we do effects the world in a positive way. despite the fact that the media may pay attention only to the bad things in a certain religion the way i view it is still the same. Even though i say that religion should be in the society i believe that you need to fallow the right religion because otherwise the society will go downhill. Many of the political leaders feel like they have to maybe hide there religion and religion is something that widely effects everybody. It has always been said, "baseball is America 's pastime." However, in recent years, baseball has become increasingly more associated with cheating and scandals. In the article "Cheating and CHEATING," by Joe Posnanski, the author discusses his view on cheating. Posnanski tells us how he believes cheating has lived in baseball since its creation, stating that, "there never really was a beautiful game called baseball" (559). He said steroid use, amphetamine use, and stealing signs are actions that have all been used at different times since the start of the game. Posnanski 's article comes in response to Pete Hamill, a writer for The New York Times, who believes that baseball only became a drug filled game in recent years; however, as Joe Posnanski shows us in "Cheating and CHEATING," baseball has always been dirty.…

In response to Rick Perry’s campaign ad, “Strong”, I find it highly unacceptable for a person of his status. Being a church-goer myself, I feel that solely attending worship every week is not what makes one a “true Christian”. In order for one to be a true Christian, one must not only attend Church, but also believe that Jesus is Lord, which breaks down into the public confession of faith, determination to live according to the commandments of God, and having a willingness to believe that God is the creator, not the ‘evolver’ of all. In addition to believing that Jesus is Lord, one must also do many other things to be a true Christian, such as accepting the Bible as the full and final counsel of God, holding to all the essential doctrines…

Furthermore, Falwell fails to mention or maybe does not realize that just because certain ideologies have been around so long does not always mean it is one and that time changes, and society must eventually change with…
