Purpose: The purpose of this research was to determine whether women with breast cancer treated using the chemotherapy anthracycline and trastuzumab were at a greater risk for heart failure or cardiomyopathy.
Method: This was a retrospective study of 12,500 women diagnosed with breast cancer over an eight-year time span. This study looked at the hazard rations and 95% confidence intervals for the women using various forms of chemotherapy. The various forms of chemotherapy studied were anthracycline alone 29.6%, trastuzumab alone 0.9%, anthracycline and …show more content…
Adhesive capsulitis: one sonographic-guided injection of 20 mg triamcinolon into the rotator interval. Rheumatology International. June 2013;33(6):1547-1553.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to establish a method for injecting corticosteroid into the rotator interval under sonographic guidance. It was also designed to look at the effect of the injection on function, pain, and range of motion after 4 weeks and 12 weeks. (The rotator interval capsule is composed of coracohumeral ligament, superior glenohumeral ligament, and capsular fibers. All the fibers blend together along insertions medial and lateral to bicipital groove to assist with positioning the bicep tendon in the groove.)
Method: This study focused on 39 patients between the ages of 17 and 80 years old. The patients each had painful adhesive capsulitis ranging between 3 to 12 months of duration. The patients also experienced a loss of at least 30 degrees of external rotation and loss of one other shoulder motion. The patients were injected medial to the bicep tendon with 20 mg triamcinolon hexacetat and 3 ml of 20 mg/ml
