Children Should Receive Vaccinations In Public Schools
“Vaccines save lives; fear endangers them. It’s a simple message parents need to keep hearing” (author, page #). Vaccines are a substance that teaches your body’s immune system to recognize and defend against harmful viruses or bacteria before you get infected. A good way to keep your kid safe and healthy is to make sure they get the right vaccinations. Not only will they there body be healthy and safe, they will be harmful to others around other kids in school. Vaccinations can prevents illnesses, diseases, mumps, rubella, polio, hepatitis B, whooping cough, and chickenpox. North Carolina, Ohio, and New York state laws say, “Allow the public school system to suspend children who are not vaccinated,” (7). Not getting your child vaccinated is a very serious situation and some states are more strict than others. If your child is in harm of others it could kill other kids that our child is around. Some people get more upset about it than others, but your child should get vaccinated or according to some states in the United States, your child can not attend school. In the states of New York, Ohio, and North Carolina the pediatricians say, “they will not treat children who have not been vaccinated. Some legal expert believe that parents who do not vaccinate their children should be subject to criminal prosecution if their unvaccinated children infect and harm other children who are too young or immunocompromised to receive vaccines” (7). In New York if you are not vaccinated and you get someone else sick enough that they are in severe conditions, you could be brought to the law. This is a very serious situation that should concern all parents. Vaccinations can change a lot of issues. One of the things parents are most concerned about is, keeping their kids safe and in good hands. One way to make sure your kid is safe is to get them vaccinated.
