“Self-authorship” would be the topic of my paper. Specifically, I would like to reflect my development or my path toward self-authorship in my young adulthood, as well as sharing how my self-authorship lost and found within the period of dealing with my adult life’s challenges. I am also intrigued in discussing the exploration and the studies on self-authorship in diverse populations in the U.S. Finally, using “Learning partnerships in Practice” which Taran Cardone, Elizabeth Stoll Turton, Gerald Olson, and Marcia Baxter Magolda (2013) have dedicated their time to do the research about and the “Critical and Poststructural Perspectives on Self-Authorship” researched by Abes and Hernández (2016), I close my paper with my awareness and thoughts about the roles and responsibilities of students affairs educators in acknowledging the importance of self-authorship and promoting it for students’ development during their college
