Christmas Day
Christmas Day The morning of Christmas is just wonderful. You open your gifts and hope that your family got you what you wanted. Your whole family is home to celebrate Christmas with you. Christmas is the day is fun and your just happy all day. You’re celebrating the birth of Jesus or other beliefs. There’s no one on Christmas that should be sad. After all, it is the season to be jolly. Do you know why Christmas is so important? Well, you get a 2 weeks of vacation from school! It’s the celebration of Jesus being born. Christmas is the time where you and your family connect as one. It’s also the time to be thanking for what you have. Christmas is the day for you to open all your wonderful presents! It’s a relief when you can’t wait any longer to tear up one of your presents under the tree. Don’t you just love the day where your whole family comes home to celebrate Christmas? Your face just smiles when you see that group of family members just coming into your home to celebrate. You just talk and talk to them all day because you haven’t talk to them in such a long time. Family time is better than playing game or hanging out with your friends, because they won’t be there for you forever. So try to hang with your family more, because your friends won’t go anywhere. Presents are what everyone wants for Christmas. The most enjoying thing on Christmas is not receiving presents, but giving presents to a person in need. When you receive a gift, you’re all happy, but it doesn’t compare when you give a gift. When that person received the gift you gave to them they are happy and smile as big as they can. Christmas is not about receiving it’s about giving things to people that need it. We all celebrate Christmas, but do we really care about anything else other than getting presents? Christmas should be the time where you are happy to be alive and celebrating with other family members. Spending time with the people who matters is what really important cause they won’t

Christmas is a holiday celebrated around the world. Children wait all night the evening before for santa to place their gifts beneath the tree. Excitement rages from them the morning of December twenty-fifth; pretty wrapping paper and shiny bows glisten under the christmas tree lights while the bulbs upon it sparkle so elegantly. However, Christmas is not about all these aspects that it is displayed as. Christmas has more meaning than pretty gifts and how many gifts each child has under the tree. This holiday is above the amount of money one kid gets while the next gets so little. Though some see Christmas as a materialistic holiday, it has far more depth than so little meaning. The Holiday of Christmas contrasts greatly with celebrations…

    Christmas vs Thanksgiving

Christmas is a kid’s favorite holidays for really only one reason: presents. We live in a society where materialistic things outweigh almost anything else. We would do almost anything to get the new iPhone, and we have an annual “buy as much as you can” day, also known as Black Friday. Christmas, unfortunately, has gone away from its religious origins and has been turned into the most expensive holiday of the year. Although I am sitting here trashing Christmas, I do still enjoy the snow and the decorations; who doesn’t? Snow sets the stage for Santa, and decorations make it all the merrier. Twinkling lights accompany almost every roof and dance in the cold winter gusts. The weather and feel of Christmas couldn’t be more perfect for the holiday; cold keeps us in the house and makes the fire feel all the more wonderful, while sugary treats and presents make our tummies and shelves feel good. Unfortunately for Christmas, my love for the day has diminished. I have grown up to see how selfish our society is during this time of year and now different we treat the holiday than it is actually supposed…

My family celebrates Christmas. Christmas is my personal favorite holiday, for mostly selfish reasons, but reasons none the less. On Christmas Eve we start by going to my grandparents house and having a big dinner and opening stockings that my grandma hand made for us when we were born. Then when we get home the first thing we do is unload the stuff from our grandparents house and get ready for bed. My siblings and I go into our parents bedroom and get on Santa Tracker immediately so we know when we should go to bed. This year that might change though, becuase Miles, my little brother, knows about Santa now. We find a Christmas movie or two then settle down on the floor or bed. Usually we watch How The Grinch Stole Christmas and Elf. We watch How The Grinch Stole Christmas because when we first started the tradition that is what we watched and the second movie because it is our favorite Christmas movie us. The tradition started one year when for Christmas we got new furniture for our rooms and we could not be in our rooms while they were putting the furniture together. Basically the tradition started as a trick and we liked it so much, we thought, let's do it again next year a couple of times. I suppose that is how most traditions start though. The idea behind the tradition is that we all wake up together and we all see the presents at the same…

The holiday Christmas has traditionally represented the birth of Jesus Christ. Christians worldwide have celebrated December 25 as their God’s birthday; however, Christians have held no historical significance to the holiday. Most customs involved in Christmas have originated from ancient pagan celebrations. The customs have dated back to events like Saturnalia and the Unconquered Sun, proving the ideas stemmed from pagan roots not Christian.…

Since I have been a young girl, I have anxiously awaited that special time of year when family gets together and everyone seems joyful and serene. As the snow falls lightly on the ground, one can sense a special atmosphere in shops, restaurants, and even on streets. This special holiday is based on a crucial time in religious history. Consequently, our society has passed down traditions to commemorate the Christmas season, a significant religious holiday. Beyond a doubt, my favorite holiday is Christmas. During this festive season, I love the fact that everyone is guaranteed to hear festive carols. Also, it is one time of year when people are searching for the perfect gifts to give their loved ones because it is a season when giving is more important than receiving. Mostly, I can't think of anything more exciting than the idea of the entire family decorating a Christmas Tree and wrapping presents in beautiful wrapping paper and bows.…

Christmas is my favorite holiday. It’s the time of year when I accompany my mother, sister or friends to the store to buy gifts for other people.
