I read the book Cinder by Marissa Meyer. This book is the first book of The Lunar Chronicles. The most interesting part of the book was that the author put a lot of twists and turns at the end. My least favorite part of the book was when the main character, Cinder, had witness her stepsister’s death. The author wanted us to learn do not judge from the outside but judge what is on the inside. I like this book because the author puts twist on the Cinderella story. Other student would like this book by how the story is in the future. My question, ’’Is she going to escape?”…

This month I read the second book of the Lunar Chronicles series, called Scarlet. The theme of this book is perseverance all the 3 main characters in this book are persevering to achieve a goal. Since Cinder escaped prison, Queen Levana started accusing Emperor Kai of his lack of security. She gives Kai 3 days to find Cinder or else Luna will attack Earth (Meyer pg 42- 48). Kai is persevering to find Cinder but it is very hard because she could be anywhere in the whole solar system. Meanwhile, Cinder is trying to continue on her mission to defeat Levana. She is going to Europe to find a woman who will guide her through her journey and knows her secret about being Princess Selene (Meyer pg 182). On this journey Cinder goes through many problems like almost getting caught by Kai’s troops, and she almost killed herself hooking herself into her spaceships auto control system in order to prevent it from crashing (Meyer pg. 183 & 243). Meanwhile, Scarlet is trying to find her grandmother. First she found the location of the kidnappers who had taken her grandmother…

It had humor, real life events, sadness, and suspense. I would most definitely recommend this novel to someone because although it’s very long, you won’t want to stop reading it. This book will make you wonder, cry, even laugh. It’s a book that I think had great meaning and was put together very well. In my opinion, there is no flaws about this book except how long it is.…

I like how its really intense and calming and also some parts funny. I like how it talks about teen pregnancy because some young teens will want to get pregnant at such a young age and if they read this book it may help them change their mind and wait till they get older, thats very important to me. I really like the chapter where Bobby was talking about the wall when he was trying to get everything back in place and try to see who he really was, i thought that part was really good. I like how it goes back and fourth for the chapters like then and now, it makes you want to read more because in one chapter it tells you really good information and you just want to read even more till the…

The positive aspects of this text is that it is really interesting and has a really good and strong story line. This book is not confusing but very easy to understand what is happening and it has many details to help tell the story. The text is very organised and also has flashbacks throughout the text which help you understand and keep you interested and always thinking. We can see this when Evie experiences a flashback in the middle of the book of one of her dreams she had about a specific place, which didn’t make sense to her at the time, but now when she’s at that place, she…
