Q1: Tell me something about yourself / what do you think are your special qualifications for this subject?
I am a person who is always willing to accept challenges and I look for solutions from information or through my observations. However, I seldom work out solutions theoretically. On the other hand, I prefer illustrating my thoughts tangibly. For instance, I had tried to build a bridge which was made by papers in a competition organized by my own school. Also, I had joined a course which promotes the efficiency of solar panel by designing and constructing a cooling system. By illustrating my ideas practically, I can enjoy a great sense of fulfillment. Moreover, at my leisure time, I usually watch some documentaries from Discovery Channel and History Channel which talk about the design of famous buildings. One of those fantastic masterpieces that catches most of my attention is the design of Burj Khalifa which is a new structural system called the buttressed core. The ideas from those engineers inspire me a lot. So I have to say that I am a person who is always thirst for knowledge. (The Y-shaped plan is ideal for residential and hotel uses, with the wings allowing maximum outward views and inward natural light. To support the unprecedented height of the building, the engineers developed a new structural system called the buttressed core, which is consists of a hexagonal core reinforced by three buttresses that form the 'Y' shape.)

Q2: What makes you apply for this subject? There are three main factors determining my choice for your subject.
The most contributing factor is the effect arising from my family members. Both of my father and my brother work in the field of civil engineering. That is why I once wanted to be a civil engineer when I was still young. In other words, being a civil engineer is my dream.
Another reason is that the requirements of this subject seem to match quite a lot with my personality. As I have mentioned

Deciduous forests are closer to the equator than the coniferous forests of the tiaga, and so they have a longer growing season. This gives the plants more time to produce food, and the forest yields about 6000 Kilocalories per square meter per year for animals to eat. These primary producers form the first trophic level. The trees in the deciduous forest shed their leaves in winter. This prevents their branches from being broken by the weight of the snow, but also means that they have to grow leaves anew each spring. The trees and shrubs produce flowers, seeds, and fruits, such as wild cherries and persimmons. Many of the shrubs beneath the trees also produce fruit, such as huckleberries, blackberries, and thimbleberries. Below the shrubs there are wild flowers, clumps of grasses, and ferns. Herbivores eat the leaves and fruits of the forest. Some of the animals that live in coniferous forests also live here. Squirrels, small rodents, and deer find food in the deciduous forest, and other plant eaters, including many birds and insects, are also members of the community of primary consumers. These animals are on the second trophic level. These animals can use the 6000 Kilocalories per square meters per year produced by the plants, but the most of this energy is used up in the processes of living, such as breathing, circulating the blood, growth, and reproduction. Only about one tenth of the energy is stored in the bodies of the herbivores, so animals eating these herbivores can only get 600 Kilocalories per square meters per year from their bodies. The small carnivores, the secondary consumers, form the third trophic level. Many of these animals, such as woodpeckers and skunks, eat insects, while others, such as racoons, foxes, and snakes, eat the small rodents and frogs. The small carnivores have 600 kilocalories per square kilometer per year to eat, but, again, nine tenths of these Kilocalories are used up in keeping the animals alive. The bodies of the secondary…

I had the pleasure of interviewing Bob Appleton, a civil engineer at Texas A&M. The questions I asked him that taught me the most about civil engineering were “What is your daily job as a civil engineer?” and “What are the personal qualities you need to be a civil engineer? For example, motivation, etc.” Mr. Appleton said as a civil engineer, your daily job is to take data that surveyors collected in the field, either on the the ground or by aerial photographs (which he explained as being similar to images seen on Google Earth). Then you use the data to create drawings and designs for many different structures such as buildings, roads, bridges, ports, etc. Mr. Appleton said that to be a civil engineer you need to possess the qualities of integrity…

    Aerospace Engineer

My will to become an aerospace engineer comes indirectly from my father. Not that he is an aerospace engineer himself but because he gave me the love of space. Indeed, my father is a formal civil engineer and he spent a big part of his engineer's career to build runways for airports. He used to take me with him on his workplaces when during my childhood. There were many planes taking off and that fascinated me. later, when I was eleven years old, he took me with him in a small plane to show me how the cockpit was.at that moment I decided that I wanted to be a pilot and I did everything in order to realize my dream: I tried to travel by plane as many times as possible.in high school, I was not the best in every subject but I was untouchable in math and physics. Unfortunately my dream was broken after I graduated from high school, as I went to pass a test in the company my father worked for, a company that also formed future pilots, to determine if I had the abilities to become a pilot. Unfortunately for me I did not pass the test because of my eye's problem. Indeed, since I am nearsighted, the testers told me I was not qualified for their pilot program. I was really disappointed but I still wanted to find a job related to aerospace, planes and which fitted my abilities in math and physics. I searched on internet and I found the job that matched all the specifications I wanted.it was aerospace engineering.in my researches, I also found that engineers' job is to innovate, create new things to ameliorate living conditions to make the world better. Those characteristics caught my attention and really encourage me to in…
