One thing Parks did was volunteer for John Conyers upstart campaign for peace, justice, and jobs. John Conyers said "she helped secure victory for Conyers in the primary by persuading King to come to Detroit on his behalf" (26). This quote suggests that Parks was persuading and had a great impact because she managed to get Martin Luther King, Jr to help with a political endorsement even though he tried to stay away from those. Next, Rosa Parks contributed to the Great Society Program. According to Sidney Fine " She worked to get money for Detroit public housing" (26). This example implies that Rosa Parks want to help others who were struggling just like she uses to be. Lastly by boycotting the busses, they were also boycotting segregation. One article says “The protesters were not boycotting g the proximate target of their ire; rather, they were boycotting system of oppression, segregation, prescribed by the State of Alabama and the Montgomery City Council ("The Montgomery Bus" 252).
