Chapter 7
#1. When john’s mother sees Lenina and Bernard she’s ecstatic and begins to explain how she got stuck in that tribe and why she couldn’t leave ending in her horrifying lenina. For example when she says, “-After all these years! A civilized face. Yes, and civilized clothes” (101). This is because she was once part of the more civilized society but because of her circumstances was forced to stay; even so her conditioning is still intact. She repeats how everyone belongs to everyone to lenina and how when she slept with several women’s men she was beat for doing so. She also says she finds this maddening, she’s still not used to the society
