In the instance of intervening with the systems provided above a social worker could have been an advocate in a police report on Francine’s behalf. They could have provided officers with documentation on the severity of the probability of him injuring one of the children during his tantrums. There should have also been a law demanding immediate removal and safety assurance due to the fact that there were children were involved. “Some of the most commonly identified services…involved counseling the victim while interrogating the suspect. By working cooperatively with the officer the team is able to impact victims at the point of crisis when they may be most amenable to services and change” (Corcoran, Stephenson, Perryman, & and allen, 2012).…
The popular television show, CSI: Crime Scene Investigations has been on the air for 12 years, and it has brought forth the behind-the-scenes actions of criminal investigations, even if its portrayals are not always scientifically accurate. This has caused an interest in the forensic sciences that has led most people to a skewed view of how a criminal investigation actually works. The reality of a criminal investigation is that it is generally more tedious and difficult than the theory of criminal investigation would have you believe. By examining the forensic and investigative procedures of the case of Pamela Foddrill, it is apparent that the theory of criminal investigation was not representative of the procedures concerning examination of the body, but that it was demonstrative of much of the investigatory steps taken by police, like search warrants. On August 18th, 1995, 44-year-old Pamela Foddrill disappeared from the town of Linton, Indiana. Pamela went to buy some groceries at the local IGA and was abducted: her body was found wrapped in a sleeping bag near Russellville, Illinois four months later. Roughly four years later, five individuals were held responsible for their part in the abduction, rape, and murder of Pamela Foddrill: Roger Long, John Redman, Jerry Russell Sr., Wanda Hubbell, and Plynia Fowler. Long, Redman, and Russell are serving life sentences, while Fowler pled out to 14 years and Hubbell pled out to 20 years of incarceration.…
In the time period of the Inquisition, a great deal of restriction was imposed on its subjects. The Inquisition was established during a time in which many people were emigrating – for various different reasons – to European and South American countries, bringing their values and cultures with them. This naturally brought about a multitude of conflicts between existing citizens and immigrants. Some pose the argument that due to this more prevalent blend of cultures across the world, the Inquisition led to more legal action and punishments for – what some argue to be – trivial and petty crimes, such as witchcraft and sodomy. However, we, as readers, understand these cases in different manners, based on the sources that we derive information…

Quality of life is described as the ability to enjoy life. People define it in their own ways. I personally feel that for me to maintain a high quality of life I need to be able to utilize most of my natural senses. Communication is on the top of my list. I am a verbal personality and I spend a majority of my day talking to people placing emphasis on being able to talk to people and hold an intelligent conversation of substance with my peers and children is vital to me enjoying my life. Touch would be second. I would feel deprived if I wasn’t able to feel and or reciprocate a hug to and from my children, family and friends. Cognition comes next. If I am unaware of my surroundings and or the people around me, then I am not living. I would rather not continue to live than to live and not continue.…

If I can't be a soldier, I'll help soldiers.”Throughout her lifetime of philanthropy, Barton never failed to show her kindred spirit to everyone she encountered, from students to soldiers.…
