My project’s problem to fix is pointe girl’s feet. The problem with their feet is not the feet themselves it’s actually the shoe rubbing the foot and the pressure they put onto their toes. That are getting scars and bloody toes. When trying to describe Cole's movement, it is best to identify certain predominate characteristics. A partial list would include dancing in plie; with isolated body movements; with compressed or stored energy; and with a keen sense of manipulating rhythm, spatial levels, and attack. The first item of dancing in plie is a key to the Cole style. Cole made great use of a wide and low second position, as well as a parallel fourth position with both knees bent and the back knee close to the floor. The main character of this ballet was a younger woman; I would say around the ages of 15 or 16. Her name was Katherine. I would say that Katherine had an excellent performance and was very entertaining to watch. Like I stated before, I am not a professional dance critique by any means, but I would say that she excelled in all of the topics listed above about things to pay attention to during a dance performance. Katherine made her dancing seem effortless and easy and even made me believe that I could also dance the way she does. I think this is an extremely important quality to have as a performer: to make it look effortless. Along with Katherine’s ability to turn multiple times, she was even able to do it quite rapidly. Katherine did more turns than leaps but when she did the turns, she made it look so easy. She always had a smooth landing and seemed to be made of all limbs; her arms spread wide and open and her toes pointed. Besides, another common but crucial sense in contemporary dance is touch. This kind of touch especially is used by contact improvisation. According to the author's interpretation, contact improvisation is "movement are generated through the improvement of physical contact of one body with another.” In classical ballet, the contact movement is mainly present in Pas de deux. However, the touch in ballet and contemporary dance have completely different concept and feeling.
