The moral argument is based on a human's morality. God is necessary to provide a logical foundation for the existence of moral values. The moral argument appeals to the existence of moral laws as evidence of God’s existence. The argument basically is that by proving that everyone has any sense of moral values that that proves the existence of God. Without the moral values that we naturally have …show more content…
as humans we would not know right from wrong we know murder, rape etcetera is wrong and that we should not do such things. Who tells us these things are wrong? What makes them wrong? The fact that we have a creator who gave us morals to know right from wrong. The fact that we have any moral values proves the existence of God. All variations of the argument from morality begin with moral thought or experiences and conclude with the existence of God. Some of the arguments put forward things called moral facts which become obvious through human experiences. Other versions describe some end which humans should strive to attain, only possible if God exists. I like this argument because it is simple but very effective at getting the point across. The Teleological Argument is also known as the argument from design.
It states that a designer must exist because living creatures and the universe all exhibit design. A typical example of this is the “Watchmaker Argument” which was given by William Paley. The argument is basically if you found a watch in a beach, you would logically conclude that it has a maker and not the product of a random formation. This is why when we look at the universe and all living things it is easy to conclude there is a designer since we see how perfectly the universe and life forms operate. Things such as the eye or the heart are used to prove the existence of God through design. I like this argument because it makes a lot of sense and is pretty easy to prove. This is because you can look at something as complex as a eye or look at the universe and know that it all has a designer and that designer is God. It is very easy to give this argument and all things point back to a creator because we can see the design in
it. Classical apologetics are the defence us as christians all must have and know so that we can properly defend our faith. The moral argument hinges on the fact that we all have morals and that we know right from wrong because of a creator. The teleological argument basically the argument of design basicaly that living things and the universe are too complex to happen by accident. Knowing how to defend your faith is one of the most important aspects of being a follower of Christ. I learned a lot from typing this essay it really enlightened me and spiked an interest for me in apologetics.
