Ladies and gentlemen of the jury the evidence and testimonies that the prosecutors have presented through this trial is falsely accusing my client, Ms. Emily Grierson, for allegedly murdering Homer Barron. The prosecutors have been desperately trying to imprison someone who is innocent of these allegedly murder charges. There are many holes in the prosecutor’s false accusations against my client Ms. Grierson who in fact is innocent.
The prosecutor’s witnesses are not reliable witnesses of a crime because they had illegally broke into my client’s home and room to find my client and the deceased Homer Barron in her bed. Therefore all the evidence and testimonies of the people who broke into my client’s home can be seen as unreliable and tainted evidence for this case. There are questions that need to be answered that the prosecutors don’t want you to know which is why should these witnesses be creditable after breaking into my clients house? Should we trust people who break into others people’s homes? Last time I checked these people are criminals for breaking and entering into my client’s home. We don’t know exactly how Mr. Barron passed away but we do know that the witnesses who have spoken throughout this trial are seen as a liability. They could be lying about many things in this case and the statements we have heard from these witnesses could be false for all we know. Ms. Grierson did not kill Mr. Barron and she is innocent.
The prosecutors have not and will not be able to answer the key question which is how did Homer Barron die? What the prosecutors have presented you with is not enough evidence to put away anyone for murder. The evidence the prosecutors have is the arsenic that the police found in Ms. Grierson’s home but this evidence isn’t strong enough to really lock up anyone for murder. As you had heard from the Pharmacist’s testimony he did in fact do his job of asking what the arsenic was going to be
