A list of factors or characteristics that different stakeholders may use:
Must be ethical; in other words respectful, honest, and trustworthy
Commitment to employees by treating them all equally and fairly and also providing appropriate compensation
Should maintain social responsibility
All this are factors or characteristics that goes with any stakeholder in assessing corporate reputation. If the company has a positive reputation stakeholders are sure to support the company through difficult times. But if the company has a bad reputation as Coca-Cola seems to have stakeholders are less likely to support and standby the company.
2. Assume you have just become CEO at Coca-Cola. Outline the strategic steps you would take to remedy the concern emanating from the company's board of directors, consumers, employees, business partners, governments, and the media. What elements of social responsibility would you draw from in responding to these stakeholder issues?
3. What do you think of Coca-Cola's environmental initiatives? Are they just window dressing, or does the company seem to be sincere in its efforts?
