ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
Starting with their differences in organizational structure implementation, Coca-Cola Company adopts the Mechanical Structure which is rigid, highly centralised and departmentalised and centralised decision making while Google Inc. practices the Organic Structure which is flexible, has low formalisation and departmentalisation and its decision making is decentralised. Based on what is said above, we can assume that Coca-Cola Company practices the classical structure of divisional organization while Google Inc. practices the modern structure of project organization. By practising divisional structure, Coca-Cola Company will be able to group each organizational functions into a division other than being able to create a department based on product line or geography. Moreover, each division contains all necessary resources and functions within it to support the product line or geography. Whereas for Google Inc. by implementing project organization structure, they will be able to create project based departmentalisation. They will also have the ability to acquire resources internally or externally in order to complete the project.
Now, moving on to their similarities, both Coca-Cola Company and Google Inc. has the need of a structure that will enable them to effectively and efficiently manage both their main HQ and their international branches. The next similarities is that both structure will have a clear-line of communication.
ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE
Again, starting off with their differences, Coca-Cola Company values their relationship with their bottling partners. Other than that, based on a Coca-Cola Company website (http://www.coca-colacompany.com/our-company/diversity/workplace-culture), they state that they have seven core values which partnership seems to be a part of it.
