I can violate Cisco’s Code of Conduct by: 1. Working for Cisco and using the company’s computer to type out my agenda for my book club as well as using the printer and paper to make copies without the approval of my superior is a violation of company rules “Use of Cisco assets for non company purposes” 2. I’m at work at Cisco and my friend has sent me an email. I know this friend of mine usually sends me either dirty pictures or dirty jokes but it’s my lunch break. I’ll open the email, it’s a dirty joke and picture I send it to my friend. I have now violated the “Unlawful or offensive” rule. I am not allowed to access, distribute, download, or upload material of sexual content or containing offensive language. 3. Mr. Perry Christie is running for office in my city. I work for Cisco and have access to the company vehicle. I am a proud supporter of Mr. Christie and want him to win so while I am really suppose to out making runs for work I am also using this time to campaign door to door. As well as I am using Cisco’s connections to get deals for posters for Mr. Christie. I am doing all of this without getting written permission from the Vice President of Worldwide Government Affairs as I should have. I have violated “Use of Cisco’s assets for political purposes.”
Cisco has provided ways for employee’s to report ethic violations or ask questions regarding ethical dilemmas. They are able to: 1. Able to go online being anonymously on an internal web form also a secure internal online case reporting/management tool known as CITE 3.
