College Admissions Essay: I Desire A Good Education Or Future
I desire a good education/Future

As BB King once said, “The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you.” This quote is inspiring to me because, there's nothing more I want in life than a bright future or a great education. This world has quite an ordeal when it comes to good careers and receiving a decent education. You would think that it comes easy, but honestly, it's one of the most challenging things to accomplish. An education to me can lead to a bright future, many opportunities and a happy loving family. If you could receive anything more than an average education, would you take it?

Over the thirteen years I’ve been alive, I have learned that nothing you want comes easily. As Milton Berle once said, “If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door.” Milton’s quote has made such a huge impact on my life because it inspires me to make my own opportunities and reach for my most massive goals. For example, to become a physical therapist or a marine biologist you need a very superb education which includes, background knowledge of many different forms of math and science. When you want a good education in your future you have to work at it way before you get to college. As a middle school student involved in many athletics, I have to continue to do my best and strive for greatness. When it comes to

The second goal is to obtain a college education. The third goal is to start a lasting career for myself as a pediatric orthopedic surgeon. The last goal is to raise a family in the best possible atmosphere.…

Having grown up in a single parent home with two sisters who did not complete high school, made the pressure for me to succeed unimaginable. The constant reminder of achieving greatness has stuck with me since I was eight years old. Throughout middle school I was top of my class, in high school I graduated cum laude with a 4.4 GPA and currently in my 1st year of college I am top of my intermediate/college algebra class, I scored the highest grade out of all 5 of my psychology teachers classes, and I have an A in my Philosophy class. My educational goals consist of gaining knowledge throughout my entire life, achieving higher than my goals, being as involved as I can possibly be with my college/ community, and continuing to prosper. Ever since…

It’s easy to make a goal rather than to achieve it. However, with determination one can succeed in accomplishing it. I have accomplished one of many goals in my list and that's to attend college. In my family not a lot attended college or even finished high school, so accomplishing this goal is a big subject of matter to my family.Getting this far is even a big accomplishment in my eye’s, especially when you break free from an assembly line of generations that never had attended college. The feeling is still overwhelming, mainly because I’m the first of many generations in my family to accomplish something big like…

Every day I wake up determined to do more than I did the day before. My past achievements include gaining leadership skills, being on a varsity sport, and learning outside of school. I have been in tennis for eight years and varsity for three years, where I have received two awards for most improved player. I was accepted into the program “Trees for Tomorrow” where I learned how to manage and use natural resources in a classroom and in field studies. I participated in a new sport, a cross country ski team, where it taught me skills and strengthened my mind set about myself. My early years of high school, I was part of the backstage crew for a play, performed at my high school. The theatrical plays were terrible, under equipped, with barely…

As the young and naive children we were, adults always told us to never give up on our dreams. This statement usually applied to the impractical dreams of becoming president of the United States, transforming into a superhero, or playing alongside professional athletes. These were all big ideas and aspirations that fueled our carefree childhoods, and were appropriate practice for shaping the paths to our true passions we discover later on in our lives; particularly in high school. High school is where teenagers are able experiment and begin to understand themselves as individuals, rather than what everybody else likes to do. Of course there are exceptions to those who are the “followers” rather than the “leaders”, but I’d like to claim I had…

High school was my time to stop fooling around. The first day of high school, I awoke to the aroma of coffee brewing on the stove. As I get ready to head out my sister approached me, and told me “Education is the key that opens the door many possibilities you can be and do in your near future” I was so nervous the sweat started dripping from my palms, and I suddenly felt 15 degrees hotter. I was nervous, I knew this is the time to get serious. Immediately a thought came across “ how well I do these four years can affect my entire life”. At first high school might look like a time to have fun and have no worries, which was my initial thought. Later on you start to realize that you need work hard. I thought “How would my future look? I don’t want to end up hopelessly. I want to make something of myself. Sometimes it can be hard though. I just have to work through the pain. At this point it’s make it or break it, success is my only…

I was the kind of guy who always strove in order to get the highest grades but yet hadn’t decided what to do in the future. I wasn’t worried, I knew someday I would find something in what I was good at. I got to live with that thought for some time until I got to attend middle school, where I stopped worrying about my grades and managed only to pass the subjects. I spent most of my time sleeping due to the frustration of not knowing what to do in the future. Most of my middle school experience was tasteless. I hadn’t friends at all, and teachers used to discourage their students about their future. “You're not going to college, you’ll not be able to do it because you’re poor” used to say, Mrs. Vazquez, the math teacher who instead of giving her class, talked on how much his son had accomplished in college and how we would not be able to attend. That was about to change.…

As a matter of facts, college degree gives the person a status symbol in life. Nowadays, people look to the person through his/her education status, and people with Master’s degree or PHD’s don’t have the same status as people without any degree. For example, when companies want to hire employees they always prefer the more educated people. That’s a good reason why people should go and seek college degrees because without it, it’s hard to find a job.…

The pursuit of a higher education has never been high on my priority list. Armed with barely an eighth grade education and tremendous ambition, I was able to achieve professional success in the absence of a college education. My heroes have always been men who have achieved great success with out an education; Henry Ford, Larry Ellison, Bill Gates, and Richard Branson. With the recent downturn in the economy and I found my self seeking employment I realized that not only was I was missing many opportunities due to my lack of a degree, but if I had a degree it is highly possible that I might have been retained from a previous employer as opposed to being laid off. Obtaining a college degree will allow me to be more competitive in the market place, provide me with a great sense of achievement and personal fulfillment, gain more knowledge, and challenge me intellectually.…

Each individual has his own reason for pursuing a graduate degree. Professionally, a graduate degree shows that the person has the motivation, ambition, and dedication to improve and thus strive to obtain a position in which he/she can apply and expand his knowledge base. Many perceive a graduate degree as a status symbol, an opportunity for advancement, or even a cause for more money. The choice to seek additional education after investing four years in an undergraduate degree shows commitment to learning and recognition of self-worth. I chose to pursue a Master’s degree for two reasons; to obtain a higher learning level of education and to eventually increase my annual salary. The first, and most important, reason for my wanting to pursue a Master’s degree is to obtain a higher education level. I believe that obtaining a graduate degree will definitely make me more marketable in the corporate world. My goal is to broaden my horizon beyond the technical world, unlock career aspirations otherwise blocked, and enhance problem-solving and decision-making skills. I am hoping that by pursuing a degree of higher learning, I will pick up enhanced skills that will enable me to be more of an asset to a team once I enter the workforce. I truly believe that without the knowledge, strength and…
