Columbus Day Reflection
This week was a short week with Thanksgiving right around the corner. After the kids came into the room and had silent reading for 25 min. Some worked on their reading and some took AR test. When that was done I went to the front of the classroom and handed out the magazines to the class. Once everyone got their magazines I told them to turn to page 3. This was the first explorer we went over and his name was Christopher Columbus. I choose him because Columbus Day just happened and I think it is important for the students to know why we have this day.
