All stores are similar and different in many ways. Each store carries different products. Each store’s price is different from other stores. Wal-Mart and Target are similar and different in many ways. Wal-Mart has better prices than Target, Wal-Mart’s and Target’s products are about the same but Target is better, and Target has a better atmosphere than Wal-Mart.
Wal-Mart and Target have similar products but Target products are better than Wal-Mart’s. Wal-Mart as a better selection in fresh produce such as vegetables than Target does. Both of these stores have about the same selection in frozen products and household products. Target has a better selection in clothing than Wal-Mart does. However, Target does not have as much as fresh produce as Wal-Mart does. Overall, both of these stores have similar products but Target’s products are better than Wal-Mart’s.
While Target has better products than Wal-Mart, Wal-Mart has better prices than Target does. Wal-Mart has cheaper products than Target does. Wal-Mart has the same thing as Target has, but Wal-Mart is cheaper. Wal-Mart and Target have the same products but Wal-Mart’s prices are better. Target’s prices are more expensive than Wal-Mart’s. Target does have cheap products but not as cheap as Wal-Mart. Targets prices are a little more expensive than Wal-Mart’s but Target’s quality of products is a bit better. Overall Wal-Mart has better prices than Target does.
In addition to prices and products, Target has a better atmosphere than Wal-Mart does. Target is a lot cleaner; Target is more organized. Target has more helpful and nicer employees. Target’s employees are more willing to help a customer; a customer also gets help faster. Wal-Mart is not as clean as Target is. Wal-Mart is not as organized as Target is. In Wal-Mart they have more products on the ground, such as clothes, than Target does. The employees at Wal-Mart are not that willing to help a customer. Someone has to wait a long time to get the help

The Target discount store was first opened in Roseville, Minnesota in 1962 (Target Corporation, 2017). The stores have grown significantly to currently cover approximately 136,000 square feet. The discount stores sell general merchandize that include hard lines and soft lines. Most of the Target stores are built following the standard big-box architectural style. The company has also created emphasis on “customizing each new store to ensure a locally relevant experience…that best fits the surrounding neighborhood needs” from August 2006 (Target Corporation, 2017). The philosophy has seen the company invest in products that best capture the situation of their environment thus attracting different clientele based on the location of the store. Initially, the only format that operated in Starbucks Coffee counters was the Super Target. However, Target discount stores were also incorporated into the general merchandize stores using the expanded partnership that began in 2003 (Target Corporation, 2017). The format operates in several locations that include Target Photo, Target Optical, and Target Pharmacy departments. However, the Target Pharmacy departments were purchased by the CVS Health in 2015. It now operates as stores-within-stores under Minute Clinic and CVS Pharmacy mastheads. Target also has a grocery store that operates under the prototype ‘PFresh” that was started in 2006 (Target Corporation, 2017). The introduction has resulted in an expanded grocery selection among general merchandize locations by approximately 200 percent. The offering for the Target branding are, however, more limited compared to the Super Target format.
