There are significant changes in our life that we used to live in the past and the way we live nowadays. These changes are caused by changed generation and technological advancements. I have completed graduation in India in 2010, and I am studying advanced diploma in Canada which differs in many ways.
First of all, In India I have completed Bachelor Degree which was much harder and theoretical. The program comprises of 8 semesters with 6 months in each semester, and there were two exams, one is mid-term and other is final. Secondly, Indian study was quite theoretical and exam oriented, there was no practical knowledge provided which can help student to be successful in the real world. The reason behind this is lack of equipment in laboratories, and laboratory itself undeveloped. Lastly, education system still believes in paper work, there was no e-learning tool. Only, major institutions developed e-learning.
On the other hand, I am pursuing Advanced Diploma in Canada which is subject-oriented and 3 year program with 6 semesters. Each semester consists 4 month, and study as well as test is held on regular basis which ultimately help student to gain the knowledge on time to achieve academic goals. Secondly, Canadian education system counts on practical knowledge, not on bookish knowledge. Here, all laboratories are fully equipped with industrial equipment, new computers and highly qualified instructors. This environment helps students to be successful in particular area of their interest. Last but not least, e-learn has fascinated me by having access any subject anytime anywhere.
All in all, I have studied lengthy, hard, exam oriented, with lack of laboratory knowledge, and without the use of latest technology, while I am studying short, easy, more practically with latest real time equipment, and with the use of new technology.
