Compare And Contrast Baseball And Football Essay
Football and baseball are two sports that have been played in america for along time. Some people say that baseball is what America use to be and football is what america is now. These sports have many differences and similarities that I would like to share with you. There are some that are obvious but there will be some that you may not know about.
Football and baseball are different in many ways. They are played at different times of the year. First I will start with the ball. A baseball is spherical, while a football is kind of an egg shaped. Both sports have a playoff system for after the regular season is done. The playoffs include the two best teams out of each conference. The playoff systems of football and baseball are set up as a bracket. Which two teams play each other until there are only two teams left to play for a championship. After the championship game the winning team gets a lot of glory for what they have accomplished. The Football's championship game is called the Super Bowl and baseball's championship game is known as the World Series. Last but not least Both football and baseball are sports that are played as a team. They both have several positions where different people with different skill sets play in these positions. Also both sports have one ball that gets thrown to other players on the team. In football the ball gets thrown to wide receivers, but in baseball the ball gets thrown to first base, second base, third base, or home.
These are two amazing that are played in there own way. Baseball and football have many similarities and differences. These similarities and differences include , the playoffs are after the regular season is finished, what kind of field the each game is played on, and what age you start playing both sports. But they also have many differences. For instance, how much time you have to play each game, when you play each sport, and how much contact there is allowed to play. A season of football or baseball
