Silent Seven, in the same way the yellow planets/stars are miniscule compared to the large mass in the middle. Although there are many similarities between the two, there are also many differences. For instance, the planets/stars in Birth of a galaxy are 2-dimensional. Meanwhile, the planets in Silent Seven are spherical (3-dimensional). The Silent Seven does not have a single focus point: there is balance between the objects, and there are no high contrasting colours. Yet, in Birth of a galaxy, the focus is directed towards the black object in the middle. At last, the forms of media are different. Silent Seven was created digitally but Birth of a galaxy was produced using oil paints and a canvas.
Overall, I feel like Silent Seven was more successful in creating a surrealistic art piece. Galaxies are not as circular and organized in real life as they are in Birth of a galaxy. The planets and stars are not that close and there is not an out of place blob of colours under any galaxy near us. However, the amount of unrealistic images in Silent Seven overpowers the amount in Birth of a galaxy. In Silent Seven, there are seven planets, but they are miniscule. The planets are floating on a sea of water, and are metallic. The planets are smaller than the tree in the background, and there is an out of place hoop around the tree. Even the tree and the hoop are metallic. Nonetheless, although both express surrealism, I believe Silent Seven expresses surrealism more effectively.
