Naming is white supremacy, when they deny black civilization they deny their own humanity. Consequently, knowledge is political. People who are ahistorical, have little knowledge about history and are gullible to believing almost anything. Additionally, these are people who can be brainwashed into capitalist machines
Furthermore, our textbook belittles any type of black history. It is evident that Egypt is geographically located on the Arabian Peninsula, which is in fact Africa, but denotation of blackness still occurs. This tactic was to try and make a colorblind society within the ancient Egyptian civilization.
The initial reason for slavery was for economic gain, and as a way to obtain cheap labor. The Middle Passage happened in between 1440 and 1809. Their lust for black women was a prevalent aspect of the slave community. It meant that these beautiful young girls were targets. Blassingame talks about how difficult it was for the parents to protect their children and husbands to protect their wives from sexual advances from their masters. Some of these black woman were forced to submit to their slave master. I wont say all because we can see that some of house slaves thought they were somewhat better that the field slaves. So being chosen or favored by the master wasn't such a bad thing to some of the black slaves.You can see the lust of black women in the modern day world. This can refer back to the seasoning and conditions of these slaves. In some cases these women were purchased specifically to be their concubines. In most cases the master loved their mistress more so than their white wives. This caused jealousy and hatred toward the masters mistress from the wife.
